Avental

Tenho andado um pouco sem inspiração para costurar… A única coisa que eu fiz nesses últimos tempos foi um novo avental (mais um!?). E considerando a crise da falta de inspiração, até que ficou bom! E… aproveitando essa semana que os meninos estavam de folga, fomos até Amsterdam visitar a Waterstones.

I ran out of inspiration for sewing, lately… The only piece I managed to make these last days was this new apron (another one!?). And considering my inspiration crisis, it actually turned out quite good! Well… taking the time I had this week, in which the kids were on vacation, we visited Waterstones downtown in Amsterdam.

Compramos alguns livros, entre eles um que eu espero que me ajude em tantas dúvidas sobre acabamento na costura que eu tenho, e esse outro que eu adorei: “The huge bag of worries”. Ele conta a estória de uma menina que de repente se viu carregando uma mala enorme cheia de preocupações, as quais a seguiam noite e dia. Até que ela encontra alguém que a ajuda a se livrar delas todas, mostrando que umas são dos outros, outras todo mundo tem, e que outras ainda simplesmente podiam ser levadas pelo vento… Eu recomendo a leitura!

We got a few books, and among them, one that I hope will help me with some questions I have about the finishing of my work, and also this one that I loved: “The huge bag of worries”. It tells the story of a girl that suddenly saw herself carrying a huge bag of worries, and the bag would follow her night and day. Until the moment she meets with an old lady who helps her get rid of the worries, showing that some belonged to others, some were common place for everyone (not a problem), and others simply could be carried by the wind… I recommend the reading!
